About me<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

My name is Carolina Smith de la Fuente and I am a freelance translator and proofreader from French<\/strong> and English<\/strong> into Spanish<\/strong>, working for several translation agencies, publishers and direct clients. (You can read my CV here<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I was born on the shores of the Bay of Biscay, but life and studies have taken me to Salamanca, Aix-en-Provence, Granada, London, Madrid, Newcastle and Kendal, where I now live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My father is English and my mother is Spanish, so, growing up bilingual, I have always moved between two cultures and between two languages; I have learned to treat them with care and to play with them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In my free time, I like to get lost in nature, explore caves and be an adventurous cook. If I could, I would spend my life travelling the world over and over again.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
